Tuesday, we got up to Traverse City about 12 noon and we were all a bit tired. The weekend was pretty busy and luckily Pete was already on a scheduled vacation so I had some help. My mom had to work Tuesday afternoon so she got back to the swing of things. The rest of rested up while Kiersten took a nap.
In the afternoon we went downtown Traverse City. We hung out on the beach and went wading in the water. Poor Peter, a big wave overtook him & he fell in & I had to grab him. Of course I forgot my camera at my mom's house...so no pics for Tuesday. We window shopped downtown and grabbed a drink at Expresso Bay (owned by one of the original founders of Google or Yahoo). We headed back to my parent's since it was getting late, cooler and Peter was still pretty damp & we didn't want him to get sick.
Wednesday the 29th, my nephew was dropped off to spend some time with us. We went to Bryant Park where the seagulls and ducks were extremely annoying (especially the Seagulls). We had a picnic and swam a little, but there was still a chill in the air. The kids played in the playground area after and then we headed back to my parents. Kiersten was sleeping and Grandpa was keeping an eye on her for us. We got back before she woke up & when she woke up, Pete & all the kids headed put to the Civic Center for more playtime. By this time, my allergies were out of control & I was pretty miserable so I wanted to rest.
The picnic was yummy, but those seagulls were agressive!

We had a nice visit from these ducks. They just came by really close and went on their way.
