Thursday morning we went out to Long Lake Township Branch Library/Hall/Public Park for a storytime reading. We were invited by Grandma Ann (long and close friend of our family, Grandma Ann to our kids) who is a retired teacher and extremely involved with getting a branch of the TC library out in Long Lake area. Grand Traverse County is split up differently than SE MI. My parents live in Garfield Township, but their address is Traverse City. Grandma Ann lives in Long Lake Township, but her address is still Traverse City. It took Pete a long time to understand that.
Anywho, the Traverse City Beach Bums (local baseball team, part of an independent league called the Frontier League) sent 2 pitchers to read to the kids and hang out with them for a little while. The kids had fun playing at the park and eating snacks. We went out to lunch with Grandma Ann after & then headed back to my parent's so Kiersten could nap.
Thurs night we took Peter to his first baseball game to see the Beach Bums play against the Washington Wilds. The tickets are cheap (we got 5th row behind home plate for $10 each & $3 for Peter), food is cheap (hotdogs are $2), beer is cheap (20oz for $4), so it was a good night. We picked up a few souvenirs, stayed through the 6 inning and we had to leave to get Calvin back home by 9:30pm, plus it was getting a little chilly.

Goofing off at the park while waiting for those pitchers to get here.

Finally, Davis Hunter and I can't remember the other guy only that he reminds me of someone I know.

Hunter Davis (relief pitcher kindly taking a pic with Peter, may be worth something someday).
