Last week & Memorial Day

Lollipops are the best!Kiersten is just so emotional these days...must be a female thing.
"Listen Mommy, I said NO PICTURES!"
"Okay, now I'm ready"
Memorial Day, we went to the St. Mary's Polish Festival. It supposed to be the largest festival of its kind. It was fun & the only decent day we've had all weekend. Poor Kiersten was too small to really do anything, plus all the sun made her tired. After the festival, we went home to change and we went down to our private beach. The kids played in the water & sand for a little while & then we came home and grilled. Yummy!
Peter was supposed to wait for me, but he took off. I am the top of the pic. We went on several rides & he had a lot of fun.
Poor Kiersten...too crowded to walk, too impatient to wait, too tired to be happy!

Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Friday, we went back to Hess Hathaway park since we didn't explore it on Wednesday at the picnic. Though we live 10mins away, we just never came for some reason. I think we have found our park, its just really nice and the play structures are great for little kids as well as the big kids. They have a maze too! They also have a petting farm, but we didn't pet any, just looked. They have pigs, horses, donkeys, rabbits, sheep, goats and tons of chickens, turkeys etc... We stayed away from the geese, swans & ducks b/c I knew a lot of them were laying on their nests! One of the 3 babies, they were so cute! One pose before the kids got playing. Once they start, its to stop them for a picture. We went back to Hess Hathaway Saturday later afternoon with Dad. The weekend was on the cooler side, but the sun finally came out.
Always loving a good swing!

Sunday at the mall...this is before we got home to watch the Detroit Red Wings lose to the Ducks, but this is how we felt! The jersey was Peter's when he was 2yrs old. Pete has a matching personalized jersey. On the back it says our last name and the number 1, the little jersey has our last name and the number 2.

On to Kindergarten....

Peter 'graduated' from preschool last week! His last class day was Monday the 14th, but we had a class picnic on Wednesday the 16th. Monday was beautiful and Wednesday was cold, wet, windy and rainy! But it was all fun and a lil sad. We had a great year in a great school with a wonderful teacher who kept 8 preschoolers on their toes! It was a fun class and we were happy Peter's afternoon class was so small. We were very happy to be able to participate on an almost monthly basis in his class too!
Peter had his own locker, but halfway through the year he got a locker mate. We never met his locker mate, I assume he was the A.M. class.

Last day of school....posing by his locker.

Wednesday's picnic at Hess Hathaway Park was fun, but no one stayed too long since the weather wasn't cooperating. Everyone lives close by so we plan on seeing some of our friends this summer.

Peter & his graduation certificate.
I did it!

Congratulations to Kiersten....

for peeing in her potty this evening! We have been trying to 'potty train' recently with a lot of encouragement and making it fun. We have a few videos that we watch to encourage her too! After going through 3 pairs of shorts yesterday & 2 pairs today, she finally went. Peter was a big help making her laugh (and relaxed) while she was on the toilet. We're very proud and hope we will have continued success, we are ready to stop buying diapers!

Pictures from the past 2 weeks

I had another great Mother's Day Weekend. We celebrated mostly on Saturday b/c I wanted a peaceful & restful Sunday at home. I got to do a little shopping courtesy of the kids, received some roses and cards. We went out to dinner (the kids behaved!) and visited the cemetary (Pete's mom, grandma & grandfather). We did some much needed yardwork on Sunday.

Peter's Junior Sports came to an end last Friday. It was a quick 5 weeks and we are already looking at some more activities to begin in June and September. He had a lot of fun and received a cool certificate.

I tried to take some pictures of the kids, but they weren't really interested.

Swinging with a 2yr old on your lap while trying to keep your glasses on can be a bit tricky!

2 Yr Old Pictures

Here are a few pictures we took this morning at Sears Portraits. Kiersten is slowly warming up to the camera, but it's still not her favorite thing to have her pictures professionally taken.
