My brother's engagement party was on Saturday, August 28th. It was an overcast day, slightly humid and about 2 1/2 hrs away for me. I haven't attempted to travel alone with Peter & Kiersten more than 45 mins away so this was going to be an adventure for me & for them. We made it safe & sound, but I was just tired.
I took a few pictures, but I don't have a lot b/c I was constantly chasing after Kiersten. Kiersten was a bit grumpy b/c she only took a 30 min nap & she usually naps 2-3hrs at home. Peter found a few friends and was running in circles with them around the house. I didn't know most of the people at the party, but I usually don't. My family is Laos and my brother's fiancee (Vanny) is Laos & Vietnamese. Vanny owns a nail salon shop in the Meijer up in Traverse City. You'd think I'd take advantage of getting my nails done for 'free' but I just haven't had the time!
I finally went home after 3hrs and my mom came home with me for a few days. It was nice to have her to speak with & made the trip go by quicker. The kids took a late nap & ended up staying up much later than I wanted them too! Blogger is acting a little funny, not letting me post more pictures right now.
I made some flower arrangements for the table. Peter David helped by painting the baskets white & telling me I was doing a good job.
I'm took a pic of my brother Pong (traveled from Chicago) and my mom is in the right corner. Pong got the tall genes...according to him, he's 5ft 11 3/4 inches.
Peter found a few friends to play with. He's the one in the green shirt.
