We woke up very early Sat morning. Neither Pete or I got got much more than 2-3hrs of sleep (long story), but we left the house at 5 a.m.
The kids finally asleep again around 7 a.m.
Kiersten has the comfy $250 Britax seat (Peter used it when he was smaller)
Finally in Indiana.
A quick stop for breakfast at McDonald's in MI City, IN
Finally made it to IL. Due to the construction, we took a detour and missed smelly Gary, IN. Though the detour was slightly longer, it only took about 5 1/2hrs which is great. My brother lives in Gilberts which is about 40miles NW of Chicago between Rockford & Elgin off of I-90.
This is how Dianne greeted us.
Kiersten took a bath and is looking oh so pretty, but it was a long trip & she was still a bit cranky.
We bought this dress at Marshall Fields. I love it.

What a big trip! I don't think I'm brave enough for that. The longest we've done is 2 1/2!
If we didn't travel, we'd never see our families haha! Patience is the most important thing..if you're stressed, the kids feel it & get all crazy. If you're having fun, they feel it & everyone has fun!
